Invoices arriving from a seemingly known and trusted source are more likely to be paid quickly and without question. If scammers know who you use then they can clone an invoice and put their own bank details on there to receive a payment from you. This can go on for months with many businesses only finding out when the true supplier contacts them to request a payment that you thought had been made. Business Force Magazine has some great information to educate you and your accounts team so you know what to look for to spot invoice fraud.
